Nataliya Kovalchuk, PhD is a lecturer and Vice Dean for international academic relations at the Ukrainian Catholic University. She received her Master’s Degree in History from the Central European University (Budapest, Hungary) in 2000 and her Candidate of Sciences Degree (equivalent to PhD) in World History from Ivan Franko National University (Lviv, Ukraine) in 2001. Among the courses she teaches at the Faculty of Humanities of UCU are the following: Methodology of scholarly research, Introduction to History, History of East-Central Europe, Central Europe as a Historical Region, and The Key Issues of Ukrainian History in the East Central European Context. Her scholarly interests include Empires and Nations, Pan-Slavism, Neo-Slavic Movement, and Discursive Construction of National Identities.
