The Semester Abroad program in Ukrainian Catholic University comprises two main academic focuses:
2. Academic courses on Ukrainian history, culture and economy, political and social life in English
The student can select per semester 1 Ukrainian language course and from 3 to 5 Academic courses, depending on interest.
Course credits correspond European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS), 1 credit = 30 academic hours (including 10 classroom hours, 20 personal work hours).
Each semester lasts for 12 weeks (Fall Semester – 20 September – 15 December, Spring Semester – 20 February – 15 May).
Apart from its academic component, an indispensable part of our program is represented by extra-curricular Cultural activities aimed at experiencing Ukraine in its natural daily environment. That is why we regularly provide our students with information for cultural activities in Lviv, and with possibilities for sightseeing both in Lviv and in other parts of Ukraine. Within each semester, two or three excursions are organized to visit places of interest in Ukraine.
Furthermore, each month during the semester, informal international meetings take place to gather the international staff and students of Ukrainian Catholic University.
