About UCU
The Ukrainian Catholic University is an open academic community living the Eastern Christian tradition and forming leaders to serve with professional excellence in Ukraine and internationally – for the glory of God, the common good, and the dignity of the human person.
The university’s Faculty of Philosophy and Theology and Faculty of Humanities together with seven research institutes and seven summer school programs offer a number of degree and non-degree programs.
UCU is academic partner of more than 100 universities, institutes and research centers world. UCU is active member of International Federation of Catholic Universities – FIUC-IFCU, European Federation of Catholic Universities – FUCE, World Conference of Catholic University Institution of Philosophy – COMIUCAP, Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities ASCCU, European program of institutional cooperation Tempus etc.
The university has three main campuses. Each is equipped with Internet connection, has its own computer center, reading rooms and book service, and dining hall. The chapels at campuses offer a Liturgy in the Byzantine rite every workday.
The student residence is situated close to the campuses, in walking distance of the city center. Single and double rooms are offered.
The main library contains more than 110,000 books and journals in its electronic catalogues. The library has the largest collection in theology in Ukraine, and also one of the largest collections of contemporary periodicals. It is growing at a rate of 10,000 volumes per year.
